Outset Studiomakers Mapu Street, Tel Aviv was part of Outset’s Studiomakers initiative, which aims to provide entrepreneurial solutions in response to serious funding needs. It looks to partner with organisations in the property industry – from local authorities to landowners and private developers – to retain existing and create new affordable artist workspaces. Since the launch, eight artists have been able to work on large scale exhibitions to be presented in art spaces such as the Tel Aviv Museum of Art and Petach Tikva Museum of Art. These projects could not be developed and realised by the artists otherwise.
Mapu Studiomakers artists included: Avner Ben Gal, Eliran Dahan, Ravid Freedman, Mia Gourvitch, Roni Hajaj, Tamar Hirschfeld, Ella Littwitz and Ya’ara Zach.
