Para/Site Art Space presented a two-person exhibition by Joseph Kosuth (1945, Toledo, Ohio, USA) and Tsang Kin-Wah (1976, China). This was the first time that Joseph Kosuth presented his work in China, and almost four years had passed since Tsang Kin-Wah’s last solo show in Hong Kong. This exhibition opened a series of collaborations between artists from China and the West at Para/Site Art Space. Para/Site Art Space is a non-profit organisation, founded as an artist-run space in 1996 and based in the historical Sheung Wan district of Hong Kong.
As a leading contemporary art institution, Para/Site’s activities include an ambitious annual programme comprising of ten local and travelling exhibitions; a curatorial training programme to nurture tomorrow’s talent, as well as a series of talks, seminars and workshops designed to provide a platform for further contact and dialogue throughout the region.
