Who are we?
As part of the wider independent international creative funding platform, Outset Israel was launched in 2009 to strengthen contemporary visual art production by supporting new commissions from established and emerging Israeli artists and to further the donation of works to both international and Israeli public institutions.
What do we do?
Outset Israel supports the creation of bold, original art; fosters a healthy cultural ecosystem where artists thrive; and wishes to be a part of shaping the landscape of Israel’s culture.
Outset Israel supports 4 to 6 projects annually in museums in Israel and worldwide, invites around 20 international artists and curators to residency in Israel, collaborates with established and emerging institutions around the world: museums, art spaces, art schools and more, and makes artwork donations to major public collections.
Why choose Outset Israel for your donations?
Outset Israel offers its patrons – both individuals and corporate – experiences, insights, and opportunities they won’t find anywhere else. Outset Israel patrons get access to the ‘Outset Art Package’ – an enriching, vibrant, Patrons’ monthly Art Programme of studio visits, curator-led tours in museums, local and international research trips to major art events, such as art fairs and Biennials.
With your support, you make art possible!
