Our Career Opportunities

Outset Scotland seeks new Trustees to serve on its voluntary Board.

Fleet of foot, innovative and influential, Outset Scotland is a philanthropic organisation that uses its expertise, insight and involvement to cultivate effective support for contemporary art in Scotland.  Established in 2013 and dedicated to deepening philanthropic engagement and impact, Outset Scotland works with patrons and partners to support art production and exhibitions, gift art works, and help shape strategic development initiatives for public museums.

Outset Scotland is at an exciting stage, with several new partnerships and initiatives being established, and it is seeking to expand its Board to help drive this vision forward.  We would welcome applications from all ages and backgrounds, and are particularly interested in hearing from candidates with experience in Law, Finance, Fundraising, Business Development or PR/Marketing.

Outset Scotland is well connected internationally, through a global network known as Outset Contemporary Art Fund. We share a mission with several sister chapters to promote ambition in the creative ecosystem and bring new art to the widest possible audiences, and together have raised over £7.5m worldwide.  For an overview of our organization and the projects we have supported in Scotland, visit http://outset.org.uk/scotland/

We hold five Board meetings per year, predominantly in Edinburgh and Glasgow.  As well as working collectively, board members are invited to contribute to focussed working groups, according to specific areas of interest/expertise. Trustees are encouraged to attend Outset Scotland’s select programme of events throughout the year.

For an informal chat please contact Director, Kirstie Skinner at kirstie@outset.org.uk.  To make an application, please send a covering letter and CV to Amy Porteous at Scotland@outset.org.uk
